When can we expect to see support for VS 2012 and Word 2010 without registry changes?

I am waiting for some people to test the build, but I don't have a date for you I am afraid. Sorry I can't be more precise.

Have you tried the version on the download page that supports TFS 2012? If so can you tell me what issue you are having?

Thanks

Never tried because it states that Word 2013 is required. The TFS 2012 MSI is named Word4Tfs10-xxx.msi, is it the right one?? Why Tfs10?

Actually it is not meant to mean that it requires Word 2013, only that it will work with Word 2013, Word 2010 is supported.

The "10" in the name of the MSI is the version number of the add-in (1.0), not the version of TFS.

Sorry for the confusion.

It's really confusing because https://vsarword4tfs.codeplex.com/releases/view/103600 states that Word 2013 TFS 2012 Add-In version is 1.1.13.0202 but the MSI file name contains 10 which should be 1.0.12.0622 :)

Anyway, at the moment I'm trying to enable the Team buttons in Word 2010 having the 1.1.13.0202 installed. I know there are some posts regarding the templates folder in %appdata%...

yeyeyerman's post (https://vsarword4tfs.codeplex.com/discussions/414576) has solved my problem having disabled buttons in Word 2010 32 bit. Word4TFSSystemTemplate.dotx has to exist in %appdata%\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates (copy the file from %programfilesxxx%\Team Foundation Server Word Add-in) and this directory has to be created first. Would be nice to add this to the next release of 1.1 (and maybe also in 1.0).

Finally, both 32 and 64 bit versions of 1.1 seem to work with Word 2010 32 bit and TFS 2012 64 bit. It's up to you to update the 1.1 version info to Word 2013 and Word 2010.

Thanks

Thanks. I know about the problem with the template location. That is a known bug in the MSI which will be fixed in the next release.
