Saving new Layouts

Jan 21, 2014 at 8:12 AM
Hi,
When I create a new layout, it doesn't persist between Word sessions. When I close it and restart again, the layout is missing, so I have to re-create it every time I want to import or refresh information.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
Thanks!

Are you clicking the "save changes" button at the bottom of the task pane in the layout designer?

Yes. Even when modifying default layouts and saving, the changes don't persist.
Thanks,

The layouts are stored in a file called Word4TFSSystemTemplate.dotx which is stored with your user templates. Can you check that this file exists in Word's user templates folder and see if it gets updated when you save a layout change?

Thanks
