Error: No such interface supported

description

I am getting this error when using the tool:

Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word._Document'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{0002096B-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)).

Does anyone know how to solve it?

That is definitely a new one on me. It sounds like Visual Studio Tools for Office may be missing. Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling? Hopefully the installer will tell you what is missing. If that does not give any errors can you tell me what operating system you are on and what version of Office you are using?[0A][0A]Thanks[0A][0A]Rob

I have both Visual Studio 2012 and 2013 installed and both have the VSO installed AFAIK. What do you mean by "uninstalling and reinstalling"? What should I reinstall?[0A][0A]I am running Windows 7 64 bits with Microsoft Office 2013 32 bits.[0A][0A]Do you have a download link for VSO 2013? I coud not find it online.

I mean uninstall the Word Addin and install it again. The installer checks for the presence of prerequisites, it would help to see if it thinks the prerequisites are installed. For the Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO), the link is in the documentation and it is to the 2010 version (I don't think there is a later version). The link is http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44074 and if reinstalling the addin does not show anything I would uninstall VSTO and install it again.

I have reinstalled both Visual Studio Tools for Office and the plugin, but it did not work.

As I said above, I have reinstalled the VSTO (link provided) and also the Addin. It did not work.[0A]I have also installed Teamspec (that I think does the same thing this Addin do) and it also does not work with the same error.

Did you install the 32-bit or 64-bit MSI? It sounds like you should install the 64-bit version in your configuration. Otherwise I am at a bit of a loss to explain the problem :-([0A][0A]Regards[0A][0A]Rob

Just seen your teamspec post. It sounds like there could be some other problem with your machine.[0A][0A]Regards[0A][0A]Rob

if you've no record like "HKCR\TypeLib{0002096B-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}", just install Office 2010 / MS word / .NET Programmability Support.
